Chapter 1, the Akiyama family: mending a former connection.

Family Akiyama:

Day 01, 7pm - 12pm. On a summer's evening... Kado caught up with former lover Megumi Ito and apologised over a drink. They gained a new sentiment, realising they made eachother happy at one point in their lives. They returned home afterwards.

Day 02, Miki was bullied at school and returned angry. She took her frustration out on Taku. He felt hurt. Kado returned home and prompted to give Jenna an apology gift (how surprising! Does he feel bad somehow?)

Day 03, Kado had the day off and went mountain climbing with Megumi. The climb was unsuccesful and it ended up damaging the trust that was build between the two of them. He returned home and took his wife for a long walk. A spark had been reignited between the two, but they haven't been very responsible about it. Neither of them wants to have a baby right now, so let's hope Jenna is not pregnant.

Day 04, Jenna found out she was pregnant after dealing with a very heavy morning sickness. She alternated between feeling tense, sad and angry. Kado took the news of a new child rather well, and so did the children.

Day 05, It's saturday, Jenna took the children to the park where they spend the afternoon together. Miki and Taku made up and apologised to eachother. They became friends again. The family ended the day with a hotpot and invited Megumi, welcoming her as a new family friend. However, everyone (except for Megumi) was feeling sad. They empathised with Jenna who was having an emotionally difficult time coping with her pregnancy. They bonded over good food... And maybe it was a little awkward for their guest...

Day 06, the family spend the day at the festival of youth. Jenna really feeling very tense and not very happy, the baby is almost there! Taku and Miki met some new friends at the festival. Kado and Megumi chatted for a bit. They went home when Jenna was too tired. Megumi called and they spend the rest of the afternoon swimming in the river, something Kado had been wanting to do for some time now. 

They parted ways the moment Kado started to have mixed feelings about their last trip in the mountains. 

A friend of him called him to hang out at the bar and it seemed as though Kado was avoiding his wife also (and he's popular it seems!). But, at the end of the evening, spending time meeting a new friend - he was struck with a deep feeling of love and gratitude for his wife. He returned home, consoling and comforting her for the remainder of the evening they were awake.

Day 07, Jenna was feeling very depressed, waking up feeling stressed and sad - she decided to take family leave this Monday. As she spend her time thinking about her life, she realised she didn't have anyone besides her family. When she moved away from the city, she hadn't been keeping in touch with her old friends. 

She decided to pay the old couple down the street a visit, they seemed nice and friendly. When they met down the street or at the local market, they would politely greet her.

She had hoped the old lady Sachiko was home, she needed a kind feminine presence in her life. Shigiru told her his wife had gone out shopping and would be away for at least a few hours. She decided to take a walk with Shigiru instead, who'd been packing up his fishing gear, he invited her to join him. 

It didn't turn out that great - she was very moody and feeling very tired. Her body ached.

Then later that evening, her water broke...
